Lyn.ai ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Lyn.ai App, a mobile application for configuring and managing Lyn.ai smart devices.

  • Account Information: Username and password (encrypted) if you choose to create an account. Account creation is optional for basic device configuration features.
  • Device Configuration Data: Wi-Fi credentials (stored locally on your device only, not transmitted to our servers), Agent customization preferences, and device settings you configure through the App.

1.2 Information Automatically Collected

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version (Android 8.0+), App version, and device identifiers for compatibility and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Usage Data: Features accessed, interaction patterns with the App, timestamps of device configuration actions, and diagnostic data.
  • Network Data: Wi-Fi network information (for device configuration only - credentials are not stored on our servers).

1.3 Firebase Analytics Data

We use Firebase Analytics, provided by Google, to collect anonymous usage statistics. Firebase Analytics may collect:

  • Device model and OS version
  • App usage patterns (screens viewed, features used, session duration)
  • Crash reports and performance metrics
  • Approximate location (country/region level, based on IP address)
  • Installation and update events

1.4 UniApp Framework Data

The App is developed using the UniApp cross-platform framework by DCloud. The UniApp SDK may collect certain technical data for framework functionality, including:

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Device Configuration: To pair your phone with Lyn.ai devices via Bluetooth and configure Wi-Fi settings
  • Service Provision: To provide, maintain, and improve App functionality for managing Lyn.ai devices
  • Analytics and Improvement: To understand how users interact with the App and improve user experience (via Firebase Analytics)
  • Troubleshooting: To diagnose technical issues, identify bugs, and resolve problems

We do NOT use your information for:

3.1 Google (Firebase Analytics)

3.2 DCloud (UniApp Framework)

The UniApp framework by DCloud may collect certain technical data as described in Section 1.4. DCloud's handling of this data is governed by their own privacy policy.

  • Cloud infrastructure provider (Contabo) for data storage and processing
  • Analytics and monitoring services for app improvement

These providers are contractually bound to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.

  • Account Information: Retained as long as your account is active; deleted within 30 days upon account deletion
  • Device Configuration Data: Stored locally on your device; not retained on our servers beyond the active session
  • Usage and Analytics Data: Retained for up to 90 days for optimization purposes
  • Crash and Diagnostic Data: Retained for up to 90 days for troubleshooting purposes

Automatic Deletion: Analytics and diagnostic data older than 90 days is automatically purged.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

  • Encryption: Data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption; passwords are stored using one-way encryption
  • Local Storage: Wi-Fi credentials and device configurations are stored locally on your device, not on our servers

  • Minimized Data Collection: We collect only the data necessary for App functionality

8. Children's Privacy

9. International Data Transfers

Our servers are hosted by Contabo in data centers located in the United States. Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

When we transfer personal information outside of the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
