Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the Lyn.ai App ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

The Lyn.ai App is a mobile application designed to configure and manage Lyn.ai smart devices. The App is developed using the UniApp framework (a cross-platform development framework by DCloud) and is published for Android devices.

The Lyn.ai App provides the following features:

• Device Configuration: Connect and set up your Lyn.ai smart devices via Wi-Fi
• Device Management: View and manage connected Lyn.ai devices
• Agent Customization: Personalize AI Agent characters, voices, and conversation styles
• Real-time Sync: Configuration changes take effect on devices immediately

The App serves as a companion tool for Lyn.ai hardware products and does not process AI conversations itself.

You may use certain features of the App without creating an account. However, to access advanced features such as device synchronization across multiple devices, you may be required to create an account.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

To use the Lyn.ai App, you need:

• An Android device running Android 8.0 or later
• Wi-Fi connection (for device configuration and remote access)
• A compatible Lyn.ai smart device

The App requests the following permissions:

• Wi-Fi: Required for configuring device network settings
• Location: Required on Android for Wi-Fi SSID discovery. This data is required for device network configuration, we do not collect or share or store these SSIDs.
• Network Access: Required for remote device connection and app functionality
• Camera: Optional, for QR code scanning during device pairing

You may deny optional permissions, but this may limit certain features of the App.

You retain ownership of any content you create within the App, such as custom Agent configurations and personalized settings. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to sync and store your configurations solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

The App is built using the UniApp cross-platform development framework. The UniApp SDK and related components are developed and maintained by DCloud. Use of the UniApp framework is subject to DCloud's terms of service and privacy policy.

The App may also include other third-party libraries and SDKs. Each third-party component is governed by its respective license terms.

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data to improve the App. Firebase Analytics is provided by Google and may collect information such as:

• Device model and operating system version
• App usage patterns and feature engagement
• Crash reports and performance data
• General location information (country/region level)

Firebase Analytics data is collected anonymously and cannot be used to identify individual users. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all devices. You use the App at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Joytalks / Lyn.ai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the App
• Any errors or bugs in the App
• Unauthorized access to your data or devices
• Any issues arising from third-party components or services

We may release updates to the App from time to time. Some updates may be required to continue using the App. We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App
• Update these Terms at any time
• Provide at least 30 days' notice for material changes to these Terms

By continuing to use the App after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Our App complies with applicable regulations including GDPR (European Union), CCPA/CPRA (California), and China's Personal Information Protection Law.
